MOBIUS
Mobius is the 3rd creation from Guillaume Cousson and Ronan McLoughlin.
MOBIUS will be a show created in modulation. A performance using the construction and deconstruction of three main acts: either staged together whole or deconstructed to accommodate a site-specific location. The performance is focusing on the conceptual ideas of fusing narration, movement, visual, and fire arts. We will explore each part, taking it apart for the audience to experience a unique journey. Each performer has been selected due to their revered artistic background and honed practice of fire arts. The project focuses on combining the different skills listed to support the central fire performance.
Martial artists, dancers, magic practitioners, light designers, and props makers come together to elevate fire arts to newer, never experienced heights.

CONCEPT
The production is autonomous, providing all the equipment needed for the project. We aim for it to be welcoming for programmers, and also by providing visual and artistic supporting technology. The visual aspect will be enhanced without the need of building a heavy set. To achieve this, we will be using battery-powered programmable lights synchronised to the soundscape. This will allow the light to activate and deactivate harmoniously with the develop- ment of the scenes and unfolding action; to forge numerous couplings of fire and lights. The sound space is created to follow the narrative path, bringing together a cohesive fusion between action, choreography, and story.
The fire will take on different forms and textures throughout the performance. This will be done by using different fire techniques and components, such as charcoal, lycopodium, smoke, and a variety of fuels and additives for effect (like titanium). The props created will be tailor-made for the project, allowing the performers to explore different techniques.
The project is a culmination of research and experience developed and grown over the many years of performing.
