After last year’s success, SOLAS Fire Festival is back for its second edition.

This year ROGU have invited a collection of Irish fire artists and musicians to come together to collaborate and co create 2 shows to be shared with the public over the weekend of 18th and 19th of August.

With support from the Arts Council of Ireland and Cork County Council the project will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the creative collaboration of some of Ireland’s foremost fire performers and musicians.

Come and enjoy this magical experience of Fire and Music.

WILDFIRE - an immersive Fire Arts experience.

Friday 18th | 9.30 pm

Audiences are invited to experience an intimate immersive performance in the beautiful natural setting of An Sanctoir. Buses from Ballydehob shall bring audiences to and from an Sanctoir for a unique experience of the Fire Arts as never seen before.(no parking on site)

Saturday 19th | 9:30 pm

Join us by Ballydehob playpark for a free fire show for all the family. A one of a kind fire show in which musicians and fire artists improvise together to create a spectacle.
A spectacular experience for all ages.

THE ELEMENTS OF FLOW

Sunday 20th | 2 to 4 pm

In this workshop we will journey into the practice the Flow Arts through the elements of timing and direction.

Working with body and props we will work from very basic foundations and show how from quite a simple basis we can find a beautiful flow.

These skills serve as the basis for the journey into fire, led and flow arts play and performance.

During the workshop we will also explore Learning to Learn techniques to arm ourselves with the tools to learn any skill faster, alongside movement exercises to free our bodies movement possibilities.

Workshop Time: 2-4pm

Venue: An Sanctoir

Price: €10 per person

Adults and young people welcome. (Not suitable for under 10 years old)
